ANISE

Star anise is a brownish fruit with an aroma somewhere between the traditional and wellknown aniseed and fennel, whose peculiarity is its sweet touch, similar to licorice. This particular kind of anise with an original star shape owes its aroma to anethole and comes from a tree in southern China and Vietnam.
